Phone Counselor – Contingent Part Time – 4pm-midnight – Competitive Salary

This position is located within the Operations Center of the Crisis Response System of the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency, Inc.

Responsible for providing phone support and resources to clients who call the “Warmline”.  The support results in linkage to mental health services that are provided daily (24 hours).  The Phone Counselor receives all incoming calls, elicits essential information, and determines the immediacy and type of response needed. Assists clients identified as at-risk for hospitalization in obtaining urgent care appointments and arranging transportation if needed.  Knowledge of local and county resources preferred; knowledge of Medicaid, Social Security and other entitlements (preferred); demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting; ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with clients and other members of a care team.
