Newaygo County Mental Health is currently seeking a Home-Based Mental Health Clinician within our Youth Services Team for our family-centered treatment program. This position will provide intensive, home-based services to families. Thorough knowledge and background in family dynamics, child development, and intervention with family and community systems are essential.
The position requires the ability to provide/teach basic problem solving and social skills, which would help consumers deal with difficult behavior in the home and to be more effective at finding and using natural, community supports. This includes assisting with some or all of the following: housing, financial problems, nutrition, accessing medical care, transportation, recreation, and work related issues. Additionally, this staff will coordinate services between various agencies, i.e., schools, DHS, Court, etc., to meet the needs of children and families.
Experience should include working with children and families, working with community partners, providing coaching and training, case management and treatment services to children. This individual must be skilled, resourceful, energetic, and have proficient computer skills. Ability to work with frequent interruptions, as well as ability to prioritize and function independently is a must.
Will consider MA, LLP, LLPC, LPC, LLMSW, LMSW, with appropriate state licensure and valid Michigan driver's license. Salary ranges $54,419 - $70,610; depending on licensure and experience. We are a National Health Service Corp (NHSC) approved site loan repayment site. EOE
