Billing Coordinator
Busy Medical Office Seeks Full Time In Office Billing Coordinator
Minimum One Year Experience with knowledge of CPT/ICD10 coding, Medical/Surgical Billing practices, use Electronic Medical Records software, understanding of Commercial, PPO/HMO and Medicare insurance payors, A/R management and Collections.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to handle fast paced and stressful situations
- Must be a team player
- Excellent Customer Service skills are a priority
- Review patient bills for accuracy
- Respond to patient or insurance telephone inquiries
- Answer all patient and employee questions regarding billing issues
- Ability to review chart notes and verify accuracy of charges as indicated by doctors
- Posting of charges using appropriate billing codes
- A/R Management: Follow-up on open and pending insurance claims to ensure collection within timely filing limits
- Ability to resolve insurance denials
- Ability to read and post EOB payments
- Computer skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, EHR software
