Clinician III, Adult Ambulatory – Day – Full-Time- 37.5 Hours
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Adult Ambulatory Coordinator and/or to the Director of the Service and the Medical Director. Provides direct and indirect clinical services to adults in need of
mental health care and is responsible for treatment of the client and provision of age-appropriate care. Core skills may include crisis assessment, intake assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, case management, team/community collaboration, patient/family education and triage/discharge planning. As skill sets permits, may provide flexible coverage to another service within Behavioral Health on a short-term basis. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
∙ This position requires a Master’s degree and Connecticut licensure as a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
∙ Incumbents in specific assignments must possess and maintain a valid drivers’ license with public passenger endorsement, maintain a driving record free of any violations and pass a safe driving educational program upon hire and annually thereafter in order to participate in the Fleet Vehicle Program as outlined in the Eastern Connecticut Health Network’s Environment of Care Safety Policies and Procedures #110.
EXPERIENCE
∙ Level of care and age-specific competencies are required.
∙ Training and/or familiarity with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), familiarity with abuse and neglect reporting and duty-to-warn mandates, knowledge of community-based resources and experience with pre-authorization and billing processes is preferred
